Hi! Your podcast has been so transformative for me. I made the serious mistake of not reading the Bible for myself, and instead relying on social media posts and sermons. I ended up making up my own God, and it did not go well for me. Reading The Bible is indeed tricky, and your podcast has helped me to understand the consistent themes (rather than go for novelty), have historical context, and hear your great advice as to common pitfalls. Listening has been so powerful, and I am truly so thankful for your work.
A couple requests – 1. a personal request to upvote Ecclesiastes, Jude, Isaiah (at least some parts of it – I know it is long!) on the list?
2. I remember you addressed it somewhere, but the idea of being saved. I hear people say, “Do you know if you’re going to heaven?” Faith in Jesus is one way there, but I still feel like maybe we are not supposed to be so certain? Or is uncertainty a lack of faith?
Thanks
1. Good to know
2. Don’t know if I can grab a verse off the top of my head but I think about 12Epaphras prayering for the Colossians that they will be “mature and fully assured.”
