This episode is part 9 in a study of the book of 1 Corinthians. Can we learn anything applicable for our lives from an ancient controversy in the early Christian church with food sacrificed to idols?

  1. Hello and Happy Friday, I just listed to your podcast on Proverbs 15 and followed your advice to say thank you to someone that gave me words of wisdom/encouragement during a difficult time. It was many years ago, she was younger than me came from a different background and couldn’t relate to what I was going through. Yet the Word of God proves that it’s alive, she shared 1 Thess 5:16+ and encouraged me to put it into practice that difficult weekend. I now pass the same scripture and advice forward. Thank you as I’ve not spoken to this person in over a decade and am so happy I can say thank you to her again. Who knows, she may have needed that today. Either way, “let’s encourage one another daily…” Chow!

  2. Thank you Chirs for your incite on the Bible. I feel like it truly brings me strength when I am driving to work. I have almost listened to all your Bible podcast. You are doing Gods work by bring many his word and bringing us closer to Him. Maybe next you can do Jeremiah. I do have a question and would love your insight. This would be on Romans 8:28 My pastor seems to feel that nothing happens to us unless God allows it to. I do not feel the same as there are many atrocities that happen to children and others. I can not see this being in Gods plan to bring such pain and suffering to them so we can be closer to God.
Once again Thank you for your work. May God bless you and your family.

  3. Love this! Especially the end piece on our rights vs love and doing what’s right. I love that love is always the answer especially during these trying times! God Bless! Love your podcast!
