This is the episode is part 5 in a study on the gospel of Matthew. This episode looks at the temptation of Jesus by the devil in the wilderness. Right after Jesus was affirmed as God’s son, the devil attacks that certainty and tries to get between the Father and the Son.

I was wondering, is the devil himself questioning, if Jesus is the son of God?
Does God allow us to be tempted or should we take it to mean God isn’t actively doing anything to prevent being tempted?
Unless we believe that God is not powerful enough to keep us from being tempted, we have to say yes he allows us to be tempted.
