This is the episode is part 19 of a study of the book of Acts. In this chapter Paul travels to Ephesus where he stays for 2 years. He preaches and performs miracles there until all in the province have heard the word of the Lord. Paul is so successful that the craftsmen who make the small idols of Artemis (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world) see their livelihood threatened and they riot.

Are there two types of baptism?

Not all Christians agree on that question.
All would agree that John the Baptism said:
Luke 3:16:
John answered and said to them all, “As for me, I baptize you with water; but One is coming who is mightier than I, and I am not fit to untie the thong of His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
And all would agree that on Pentecost that came true very literally in Acts 2. We also note that one of the signs that God was accepting gentiles in Acts 10 was that God sent Cornelius and the others a similar “baptism”.
Where Christians disagree is whether all Christians today should expect the same kind of experience. Pentecostal denominations expect it and most others don’t expect all believers to have this experience. I personally have had very profound experiences but not one where I spoke in tongues. I don’t see that Paul expects that all will in verses like 1 Corinthians 12:30.
So, I would say… God can do what God wants to do. But, I would not say to anyone that one baptism isn’t enough.
