This is the episode is part 5 of the study of the book of Acts. The church is supporting one another. This episode looks at 3 people . One Barnabas is so known for his encouragement that people call him the “son of encouragement”. Two others Ananias and Sapphira are more generous then most but condemned for lying. That seems harsh.

I think the two gospels you are using in reference to Barnabas are Luke and John. Just because Mark and Matthew share a more Jewish note.
